Liaison interpreting

Liaison interpreting is used, as the name suggests, to liaise between two parties who do not speak the same language.

Liaison interpreting is generally used for business meetings, negotiations, visits by foreign delegations or small group meetings.

The interpreter must have a very good knowledge of the languages he or she is working with, and will have to translate what is being said. They act as a link between the participants to ensure that everyone understands each other.
